The D.I.Y. bride continues to be on the rise and we're all for it.
Well, almost.
Our nation's recession coupled with the uprise of Pinterest-ers has fostered a subculture of young creatives - tackling projects and undertakings formerly considered inconceivable.
Like you, we enjoy trimming expenses so as to maximize cost effectiveness.
And who doesn't love getting a steal by creating for less that which they could have bought for more?
The modern bride is no different.
However, we'd like to submit a few reasons why DIY wedding floral arrangements and bouquets are not preferred.
1) Mad skills
Florists (such as ourselves) are trained with all the tricks of the trade for processing, designing, and preserving arrangements. We are experts at making our designs look like an effortless cluster of beauty, but don't be fooled- that bouquet you're beholding is the product of some seriously calculated and educated handiwork.
2) A License to kill..er...design
We've got a little something we like to call a wholesale license. This magical tool grants us access to top notch floral distributors meaning we're able to turn around and supply clients with not only quality product, but out of the ordinary stems as well.
3) One word: Floriography
Translated: the language of flowers. Floriography has its roots in the Victorian era when lovers utilized flowers and flower arrangements to express their emotions and send messages. Whether or not you are well versed in floriography, know this - your flowers are communicating a message. Everything- from their variation to their color to the composition of the overall design- is broadcasting an unspoken idea and setting the mood for the atmosphere you're desiring to create.
In short, paying for professional floral design is worth it.

(We are right along side of her in it)
The Full Bouquet
Take heart and let 'the professionals' make your wedding or event shine, because we care about your day and desire to make it rich with beauty.
