I ignored the weather report today and decided to bust out my tools, dirt, compost and 2x4's. It was a little chilly, but with the help of my lovely roommate, we crafted a homemade raised garden bed. I highly suggest this if you have a free afternoon! If you're a renter, don't fret, this is something that can be easily disassembled and removed upon departure. Tell your landlord not to worry. After all was said and done, I was surprised how quickly it all came together. Now I can't wait to get my hands in the soil once my little seedling pop up. (Just be sure to be patient and wait until Mother's day, or they'll get frosty!) My neighbors will be ooo'n and awe'n in no time!
